November 27,  2012 - New York, NY- NBA Legend Dikembe Mutombo attended UNICEF's 2012 Snowflake Ball at Cipriani's restaurant. This event is one of New York City’s most notable black-tie galas, celebrating the lighting of the UNICEF Snowflakes and honoring those whose philanthropic commitments support its mission to save children’s lives. Since its debut in 2005, the annual holiday occasion has raised over $16 Million for UNICEF’s lifesaving programs. Mutombo who serves on the board for the U.S. Fund for UNICEF (Southwest Region) says, "no humanitarian work can be done without good partners and I will continue to work with UNICEF to reduce the mortality rate of countless women and children in the developing world".  The work of the Dikembe Mutombo Foundation and UNICEF can be achieved with your continued support.
