African model(s) for capacity building in women’s cancer care in fragile, conflict-impacted ecosystems
I’m happy to announce that the African model(s) for capacity building in women’s cancer care in fragile, conflict-impacted ecosystems has now been published in a special online issue of the ecancer medical science journal.
We appreciate the submission of manuscripts from our Friends of Africa team: Dr. Groesbeck Parham, Dr. Michael Hicks and Dr. Ronda Henry-Tillman. We also appreciate the contributions from our Biamba Marie Mutombo Hospital physicians, Dr. Matthieu Kabongo, Dr. YouYou Tankoy and their extraordinary team. All have recorded video messages for this online publication. There are also video messages from Dikembe Mutombo and Dikembe’s friend and philanthropist, Howard G. Buffett.
A special recognition to co-authors, Drs. Louis and Mimi Kanda. Mimi recorded a heartfelt video message about this important collaboration for saving women’s lives in the Congo.
We hope that this publication will be a beacon of hope and inspiration to others who would like to build capacity in resource-limited countries.
